Paying Fire Police?

We're volunteers!  We can't be paid!

Or so we thought.  The key is to follow all of the rules established by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).  We contacted Pennsylvania's Fire Commissioner, Ed Mann, who sent us this response.  Read it, read it again, look at small portions and read it a third time - it will take some doing, but it will be well worth it. 

Basically, we can get paid to do this job.
